At the end of the sixties a lot of existing bands seemed to be in sort of a haze regarding what to do within music. Some new bands appeared with bright, shining ideas like the great Led Zeppelin, King Crimson, Neil Young or Santana, but the bands that had rolled along with the sixties had a hard time figuring out what to do after the summer of love and when whole hippie movement took a down turn. This mix shows some of the great music to come from these transitional years from '68 to '71 when rock music was headed for a new direction. It includes veterans like Muddy and new comers like Alice Cooper and we can hear the echoes of optimistic times in the music while the lyrics (for the most part) definitely are headed towards something darker.
